Prism Chair with rush seat in ash

Prism Chair with rush seat won ‘Best Sustainable Product’ at Decorex 2020 and featured in Country Living May 2021. The Prism Chair is a triangular chair with steam bent legs and a hand-twisted rush seat. It is part of our Prism Collection based around the beautiful Prism element. This is a triangular section (a prism) of wood that has been exceptionally cleanly sliced, then steamed and coaxed into a delicate arching structure. The wood fibres are intact so they are strong and used to their maximum potential allowing us to create a strong chair with an airy and delicate feel. It hides a secret delight in the astonishingly prism shape of its legs. The seat is hand-twisted English rush. This is comfortable and hard-wearing and will last for decades with a little care. The Prism Collection includes a chair, a stool, a side-table and a shelving unit.  This collection is natural, sustainable, recyclable, repairable, biodegradable and part of a circular economy promoting the understanding, sensitive management and use or local native wood.
