The Prism Stool is a triangular stool with steam bent legs and a hand-twisted rush seat. It is part of our Prism Collection based around the beautiful Prism element. This is a triangular section of wood that has been exceptionally cleanly sliced, then steamed and coaxed into a delicate arching structure. The wood fibres are intact so they are strong and used to their maximum potential. The Prim Stool is strong but with an airy and delicate feel. The seat is hand-twisted English rush. This is comfortable and hard-wearing and will last for decades with a little care. Fresh rush is green and it ages to a paler light brown.

Prism Stool with rush seat featured in Homes & Gardens August 2022.

We are delighted that our Prism Chair with rush won ‘Best Sustainable Product’ at Decorex 2020. The Prism Collection includes a chair, a stool, a side-table and a shelving unit. This collection is natural, sustainable, recyclable, repairable, biodegradable and part of a circular economy promoting the understanding, sensitive management and use or local native wood.

The images show the stool in Scottish oak but it can also be made in paler Scottish ash.

Our lead time is currently 12 weeks.

Dimensions W 45 x H 46 cm.
