The tripod Y Stool is part of our popular Y Collection, nominated for The Woods Awards BEST BESPOKE FURNITURE DESIGN in 2012. The Y Stool has an innovative sliced and steam-bent Y shaped component that forms the legs and support structure for the seat. The wood fibres are intact and therefore this is an exceptionally strong component under compression i.e.when sat on! The tripod Y Stool is particularly practical and stable on uneven floors. As the other Y seats in the range, the Y Stool has a comfortable dished seat encouraging a longer sit-down. Y Stools are made to order in Scottish oak and Scottish ash and have an easy-to-care for hard-wearing natural oiled finish.
