Y Desk with Light

Y Writing Desk is a compact desk with a gorgeous, tactile, curved and gently sloping ergonomic writing surface. The design was nominated for The TRADA Wood Awards and featured in the Financial Times, 21/22 January 2017.

The legs are formed with our innovative Y components where a length of local green wood is sliced and steam-bent to create an elegant strong understructure. The legs are brought through the table top to create a beautiful end-grain detail. In the Y Desk with Light the leg continues up to support an adjustable task light. A storage pocket for paper or tablet is provided by a loop of fabric or leather at the back of the desk.

The desks are available in sustainable Scottish oak or ash. The Y Writing Desk with Light is shown in oak with Bute Tweed pocket and with a leather pocket. The Simple Y Writing Desk is shown in ash with a Margo Selby fabric pocket.
