Winged Shelter
Commissioned by Sustrans (the cycle network charity) this winged shelter lies on the 'Pheonix Trail' cycle track between Thame in Oxfordshire and Princess Risborough in Buckinghamshire. Inspired by the Red Kites frequently seen on the trail, the shelter provides a much needed place of rest on the track. Situated with wonderful views to the Chiltern Hills, it consists of a large curved bench covered by two wings of laminated oak beams. 9m x 2.5m x 5m high |
