| Chancel furniture - commissioned by Newhaven Church, Edinburgh
The historic parish of Newhaven (a fishing port within Edinburgh) moved their church into a new multi-purpose hall. A chancel niche lit from above was created and new chancel furniture commissioned including communion table, lectern, and seven chairs. Inspiration was taken from the nearby lighthouse, the sea, and "celestial" light. |

The communion table has the simplicity of a table but uniquely it also contains the font. The table is bisected with a golden line which reflects light. The font bowl (shaped and laminated glass) is stored under the table and placed on top when required. Glass by Jeff Bell, London.
