About Us -

Angus Ross works primarily to commission, designing and making contemporary chairs, tables, cabinets and artworks for a range of locations, from art galleries and boardrooms, to private homes and gardens throughout the UK. The workshop also produces a range of limited edition furniture in native timbers - available from the showroom.

Angus has a background in industrial product design and his designs are research based and result from an investigation into who the piece is for, and where, when, how and why it will be used. The piece will be enjoyable to use, beautiful but unpretentious and often contain an element of surprise.

We use predominately indigenous hardwoods and buy FSE certified timber from British timber yards. All furniture is made in our workshop by Angus and furniture maker Steven Gray.

Workshop -

We are in the centre of Aberfeldy, a small market town in Highland Perthshire. The workshop was built in 1870s as a joinery workshop and has been used as a woodworking workshop ever since. We have upgraded it for modern furniture making. As with tradition the machines are located on the ground floor, with a light and airy cabinet shop upstairs. We have open days throughout the year and will be open 27th September to 4th October as part of Perthshire Open Studios. Customers are always welcome to have a look around but we ask that you phone to make an appointment first - tel 01887 829857. Note that we are often using very noisy machines and you may have to leave a message or phone back later!
